Inclusion School

Supporting each learner to ensure their individual needs are met

SEND

The majority of our learners across all of our school settings experience the co-occurrence of mental health, neurodivergence and SEND needs and all have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP)

Our School settings  support each learner to ensure that their individual needs are met, with staff working with learners, parents and other agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes.

This can includes access to other interventions and support services such as:

  • Speech and Language Therapy (SALT)

  • Educational psychologist OT support (provided off site if stated in EHCP)

  • Movement breaks.

Every classroom has a regulation basket so learners know they are free to access any items which will support their ability to remain engaged with learning.

As well as providing these resources and tools, our classrooms and spaces across the school site are designed with learners needs in mind.

This means we ensure the space is less visually cluttered, widget symbols around school to create independence, visuals for trips and outings to support and ease cognitive load and anxiety.

Our Inclusion School teams across our settings also carry out Annual Reviews and have regular contact with SEN.
